Benton Harbor coach fired for civic involvement; Athletic coach given $20K RAISE FOR FIRING HIM

A Story You Will Not Believe Could Be True - right here in Michigan.

Marcus Muhammad, Benton Harbor's winning high school basketball coach (70-40 in his five years), was fired last week.

(Facts on Muhammad at end)

Word came down from the school superintendent (Whirlpool puppet) to the athletic director to fire this very popular coach and BH resident. The athletic director was given a $20 THOUSAND raise. Who ever heard of this kind of money as a teacher's raise? Available in the school budget? (You guessed it - Whirlpool has plenty and more...) Of all the high school coaches, Muhammad is the only one to have winning teams for the past two years.

Why was Muhammad targeted?

Muhammed was given no reason for his termination. However, since this is Berrien County, we can feel fairly certain this happened because Muhammad is a popular city commissioner and vocal about things like the Emergency Manager, Harbor Shores, the PGA tournament to be played on stolen land, etc., etc.

How long will Whirlpool be permitted to destroy a community in every way possible? It's beyond criminal, all the funds taken away, land taken away, jobs taken away, huge numbers of people put away, and infrastructure taken apart against the will of residents.

Please tell the PGA about the firing of Marcus Muhammad.

The PGA needs to know the truth about the extreme level of corruption present in Berrien County, home of Whirlpool and Harbor Shores. If they truly understood, they might not feel comfortable bringing the tournament here May 23-27.

Marcus Muhammad Boys Basketball 19-3 (Conference Champs) 14-8

Political Hit:

Benton Harbor School Superintendent Dr. Seawood met with Louis Harvey, Paul Wilhite and Earl McKee seeking their advice on finding a new coach. This is after the 2011 season where the team went 19-3 (8-0 in the Big 16 conference).
He met with them to inform them that he was going to fire Muhammad. Willie Wilson arranged the meeting as the newly appointed Interim athletic director.
He told that group that if Muhammad won a state championship with a record of 20-0 he still must be fired.
Ironically, Muhammed was told those same words by Athletic Director Willie Wilson.

Whirlpool 200K donation:

Refused to sign as the Mayor Pro Tem to authorize 200K to Benton Harbor Area Schools to fix a pool. (October 10, 2011)

Mayor James Hightower (Seawood's brother-in-law), in collaboration with EM Joe Harris, stripped Muhammad of the Mayor Pro Tem title and named Sharon Henderson in hopes she would become apart of the team and give the community donation away to the Boys and Girls club.

Now, Dr. Seawood authorizes the political hit to remove me as the coach of Benton Harbor High school.
(March 19, 2012)

Smear campaign:

There is a growing fear that Muhammed may run for State Representative against the Whirlpool puppet Al Pscholka. The firing of Marcus Muhammad is a method to discredit, dishonor, and degrade him in the public eye.

Emergency Manager isn’t balancing the books!

Joseph Harris, the Emergency Manager with dictatorial powers to “straighten out” the Benton Harbor books,” had predicted a $400,000 surplus in 2011, according to the Herald Palladium. But the books are apparently still in the red! In addition, an audit showed accounting mistakes and stagnant accounts that weren’t being used. Meanwhile the City’s elected officials are stripped of almost all of their authority to run the city. A public investigation into the work of the Emergency Manager is in order!

The Audacity of Whirlpool

(This post is a combination of the following 2 posts, with a bit of new information.)

From the Whirlpool employee Marcus Robinson's email which is circulating:

The State Commission of the NAACP and their national office has decided to undertake the reorganization [of] this chapter with a specific intention of revitaliz[ing] the leadership and membership body... contact Marcus Robinson, by cell 269.277.7711 or by inbox atwww.Facebook.com/4marcusrobinson

We urge any and all to contact Robinson with your views on this WP attempt to takeover the Benton Harbor NAACP and oust Rev. Pinkney from the position of president.

The Michigan NAACP has announced it will come to town on April 14 to hold a special election (to vote out Pinkney we suspect). Pinkney is currently president of the local BH chapter; elected by a very wide margin last August. Are you sitting down? Marcus Robinson is currently giving free NAACP memberships to those who promise to vote against Pinkney.

Pinkney has been involved in organizing a five day protest from May 23 to 27 when the PGA tournament will be held in Benton Harbor on land Whirlpool stole from the town's residents. It doesn't take an IQ of 200 to understand why there's an effort to oust him from NAACP-BH, and WP seems to be spearheading it.

Pinkney is initiating plans to file a lawsuit againt the NAACP and is looking for members to join the effort. He said the organization claims to fight for rights of voters, yet disenfranchises the voting rights of NAACP-BH members to please "the corporation."

He feels confident that there are many who will attest to the fact that the NAACP ignores many injustices against Blacks, and even encourages discrimination.

(Look this up: 2010 - NAACP V. Black Cigarettes smokers.)

Did Whirlpool and the PGA promise money to the NAACP to oust Pinkney? After many years of living in the shadow of this corporation and observing the racism and corruption, Pinkney believes the answer is "yes."

Rev. Martin Luther King refused to be involved with the NAACP; he was never a member.

Never Before has Whirlpool been THIS bold

For the first time that we can recall, Whirlpool has come right out in print and declared a takeover, in this case, of the NAACP-BH. It's stunning. Shameless. Unreal. WP employee Marcus Robinson is circulating an email that's come to our attention. The content is screaming his desire to rid NAACP-BH of Rev. Pinkney. (Admittedly, one has to be intimately acquainted with the politics of WP and the twin city area to read between the lines.) From the Marcus Robinson email:

The State Commission of the NAACP and their national office has decided to undertake the reorganization this chapter with a specific intention of revitalize the leadership and membership body... contact Marcus Robinson, by cell 269.277.7711 or by inbox at www.Facebook.com/4marcusrobinson

We urge any and all to contact Robinson with your views on the WP takeover attempt. Right out in the open. And, try to attend the Occupy the PGA protest, May 23-27!

NAACP teams up with Whirlpool?

Rev. Martin Luther King refused to be involved with the NAACP. He was not a member. Rev. Edward Pinkney is beginning to think King did the right thing. On his program Pinkney to Pinkney on blogtalkradio.com, he called for all NAACP card holders to burn their membership cards along with him this Sunday March 4, 5pm EST.

The Michigan NAACP has announced it will come to town on April 14 to hold a special election to vote out Pinkney, currently president of the local BH chapter; elected by a very wide margin. Marcus Robinson, Whirlpool employee, is currently giving free NAACP memberships to those who promise to vote against Pinkney.

Pinkney is a "peoples' pastor" and holds human and civil rights organizations accountable for their wrong doing, or just not doing. Membership dues and contributions paid to the NAACP should be used to help people. Yet, in Benton Harbor, the organization has teamed up with the Corporation in an attempt to remove Pinkney from his position as local NAACP president. (Pinkney is also president of BANCO and Stop the Takeover.)

Pinkney has been involved in organizing a five day protest from May 23 to 27 when the PGA tournament will be held in Benton Harbor on land Whirlpool stole from the town's residents. It doesn't take an IQ of 200 to understand why there's an effort to oust him from NAACP-BH. On his radio program yesterday Pinkney called the 102 year old organization "a sellout to the blood sucking corporation Whirlpool," and that "it's main interests are expensive awards dinners and fundraisers."

The Reverend is initiating plans to file a lawsuit againt the NAACP and is looking for members to join the effort. He said the organization claims to fight for rights of voters, yet disenfranchises the voting rights of NAACP-BH members to please "the corporation."

He feels confident that there are many who will attest to the fact that the NAACP ignores many injustices against Blacks, and even encourages discrimination.
