Silver Beach planners aim for 'wow' factor
Officials lay out plans for carousel, fountain, interactive Curiosity Zone for children and other features

Silver Beach Carousel Society and Curious Kids' Museum officials are promising a revamped Silver Beach that will "wow" visitors beginning in 2009.
"We hope you'll come away from it with something you'll remember for the rest of your life," said Suz Schalon, president of the Silver Beach Carousel Society. The development is a private- public partnership of the Whirlpool Corp., the city of St. Joseph, members of the Schalon and Gast families, the Silver Beach Carousel Society and the Curious Kids' Museum.
