Rev. Pinkney Arrested AGAIN, supporters: Lynn Stewart, Voice Of Detroit, EXPOSED,

What's really happening to the people of Benton Harbor:
The thrust [of the Berrien county courthouse] is to physically remove and destroy families through the use
of the criminal justice system. Every person they can put in jail; every person whose voting rights they can
revoke with a felony conviction; every person they can cause to lose their job by putting them on probation;
every person they can cause to lose the ability to pay for basic necessities through imposing ruinous court
costs and probation is all part of the process. In the 1960s, it was called Negro removal. In Bosnia, it was
called ethnic cleansing. It could be called genocide, the removal of the minority population for the purpose
of redevelopment of the land. That’s what’s happening in Benton Harbor and the foremost leader
of the resistance is Rev. Edward Pinkney. --Civil rights attorney, Hugh "Buck" Davis

BENTON HARBOR FORMER CHIEF SAM HARRIS WAS FOUND AT FAULT

BENTON HARBOR FORMER CHIEF OF POLICE SAM HARRIS WAS FOUND AT FAULT FOR DENYING FORMER BENTON HARBOR COP A HEARING.
COP GETS JOB BACK A YEAR AFTER BEING FIRED.
An arbitrator has ruled that Dennie Brown, fired from the Benton Harbor Police Department last summer, should and will have his job back.
Interim police chief Al Mingo said he also has received the arbitrator`s ruling, but declined to comment Monday, referring reporters to the city attorney. Charlette Pugh Tall said only that the city can appeal the ruling.
City manager Dwight Pete Mitchell and city commissioners, this very sad group, said they had not seen the document and could not comment on the ruling they have not seen. Brown said in a ruling he received July 18 that the arbitrator decided the city had no reason to fire him. Sam Harris and Pete Mitchell would not grant him a hearing before he was fired.
Brown was a police officer in Benton Harbor for 10 years before being fired last July. He already had sued the city, alleging he was punished at work for reporting all the police brutality, violations, crime, and wrongdoing in the police department.
Brown lost that case when Berrien County trial court chief judge Paul Maloney ruled "no cause for action" in the suit against the city, then police chief Sam Harris, and former city manager Joel Patterson. That ruling had NO substance.
Brown repeatedly asked the city commissioners to hear him in closed session, but commissioners said they could not because he was no longer a city employee. Now, Brown will get his closed session with THE commissioners next week. He said he doesn't want to start work until Sept. 1 because of family issues he is dealing with, but wanted to talk about the city attorney and former police chief Sam Harris who both have committed criminal acts.
Mitchell cautioned Brown that if and when he goes back to work the police chief will be his boss and he should follow proper chain of command. When he was still a police officer, Brown was disciplined for reporting crimes inside the police department and Berrien County court house. This one is for the good guys.

If only what you printed was true. Ask Mr. Brown why he cannot come back to work? Is it because of a Domestic Violence conviction and probation? Or is it because he wants to take a longer break.

Now this would be a story

When Dennie Brown was on the force, he was the main target of those in attendance at City Commission Meetings during the public comments.

Now, he was fired, and might come back. Something tells me we're taking a step backwards, and BANCO is in full support of that.

Good work guys, maybe eventually you can create a way to take us back to the 60's and kill all the progress made since then too!

The citizen's do not want Brown back to work. I live in Benton Harbor and have personnally seen Mr. Brown at work and I know people on the street do not like him. The police department went forward when he was fired and if he comes back then I feel the progress they made will stop. Just a concerned citizen of Benton Harbor that has delt with Officer Brown.

and strengthen its stronghold on the resident of benton harbor.it mean we must create and propagate our own vision.mr judge and jury or mr concern,i know this silly game that you are playing.i know for a fact that you and your group are a group of liars.so get real!

It seems that Mr Brown has chosen not to return to work until September. That may be enough time for him to rinse the marijuana out of his system, which we all know is why he is taking the time off. We here in the community are not stupid. The Chief should perform a mandatory drug test on all officers. If Mr. Brown was left to dry out in the sun he would shrivle up to about 10 pounds of marijuana.

Sam-

A word of advice. PROOF READ! A man who can't speak well is never heard. I know of no better sign of ignorance than poor spelling, grammar and punctuation.

So many citizens of our community choose to embarrass us by displaying a lack of intelligence.

Many fail to see how the world outside of our four square miles views us. The general attitude, and the blatant racism (toward white people) effects the way our city is portrayed. We can't blame the court system, Whirlpool or people of other races for our identity. Our identity is the effect of our beliefs, our sense of right and wrong and OUR WRITING SKILLS!

It's one thing to try to argue with the rest of the world that the sky is green. It's another thing to argue that others think the sky is blue because of the color of your skin, but to argue that "the ski iz blew becz ov the color ov yer skin" ...that's just ridiculous.

Sam, we may not all agree on what each other has to say, but I think we should all agree how it is spelled.

Sam -

This is "mr judge and jury" again.

Dennie was never the target of any citizen during a commission meeting?

This makes me think you have never been to one. I have attended commission meetings. For a while, I attended them regularly.

I am sure there are public records that can be obtained to dispute your claim, but even so, you would probably try to discredit them by saying someone made them, or more likely, blame it on a white person.

I am not a liar, nor am I part of any "group". I am not playing any "silly games".

I am, however, a concerned citizen with enough common sense and street intelligence in looking at the Dennie Brown situation, to come to the conclusion that what happened to him happened for a reason, and will probably happen again.

I also have enough common sense and street intelligence to know that the BANCO point of view is one that will eventually end up in disappointment.

I just hope for the sake of the citizens of Benton Harbor, that this happens before BANCO and "Sam" destroys all that has already been accomplished.

Sincerely,

Mr. Judge and Jury

Dennie Brown was a cop who possessed integrity and ethics. His concern always, was doing the right thing. He was not interested in finding residents to harrass or intimidate, and he had the courage to speak up when these things were happening at the hands of other cops. It's not too difficult to recongnize who's who on these postings.
(And, for the record, one of the most intelligent people I know cannot spell.)

Annie,

You can not be intelligent if you can not write a logical statement right. As for Dennie Brown being a good cop I live on the streets of Benton Harbor and everyone out here hates him because of what he does. You know nothing of this man. I do, I have been arrested by Brown and I was treated like crap. In jail people talked about how he took money from drug dealers then let them go and so on. So Annie if you just read this stuff and want to say things that are so untrue do research first and then write because if you go to the streets and talk to people I will bet you that 7 out of 10 are against Brown.

Mrs. Bell,

Finally a citizen who tells the truth!! You should be commended for standing up for what is right.

Everyone knows Dennie Brown, as well as at least one of the current City Commissioners have been involved in drug trafficking.

Obviously BANCO doesn't care about Benton Harbor.

We need more citizens like Mrs. Bell who aren't scared of the criminal element in this town, to tell people like Dennie, Etta, and their drug dealing friends to find somewhere else to set up shop.

And what about the garage? Can anything be done about this drug dealing enterprise?

The police appear to be doing their job well.

They don't need people like Dennie Brown.

benton harbor is only four square miles, has one the largest police force in the country.officers are from bh,benton township, county sheriff dept, state police, atf, drug enforcement division, private law enforcement contractors, fbi.the police protect the drug users and dealers on the city commission like glenn yarbrough and crenshaw, etta harper is not a drug user, she will fight for the citizens of benton harbor to stop drug dealing ,she was the only person standing on colfax and may, stopping the drug deals.
tell the police dept to stop protecting the drug users and drug dealers on the city commission.lack of leadership is the root of all criminal acitivity activity in benton harbor.

Big Sam, Mary Bell and all you citizens who write to BANCO. If you are going to write something at least make words that are right. And for the police dept.. Do any of you actually know what the police officers are like? Or are you just making things that up that you hear.. Cause dont slam them if you do not know them. That is like me telling you two that you are both criminals and that you are the scum of the earth but I wont say that cause I do not know you.

Well I am not a cop but I used to be one. I know how hard there job is. You think it is easy to just stop the drug dealers. You do not know anything about being a cop. I am not a cop anymore because of people like you? People like you talk all kinds of garbage but do not know what it is really like. It does not matter if you are a white officers or black officers all criminals hate you. When they get the chance they take advantage of it. I worked in a bigger city with bigger problems and it is a hard job. I left becuase people like you have NO IDEA what it takes to be a cop. People like you think that cops can just stop all illegal activity and that is not true. We take down one drug dealer and another one pops back up. If you are so concerned become a active citizen and tell on the drug dealers come up with solid proof and tell on them.. The police may not be able to take on that task alone they also rely on tips and such. Or are you just a citizen that talks on this website and wont help like everyone else.

Look like I said you do not know what it is like to be a police officer and until you do SHUT UP. you are starting to annoy people. All cops are not bad and to do that job takes a speacial person. Let me ask you a question when go to work do worry that you may not come home everyday. Do you worry that your kids will be with out a dad and that your wife will left alone. Well until you taste that reality of life dont write about the police officers they risk there lives to save and protect ours the best they can and the best way that they know how and if you dont like that then TUFF CRAP..

So now it's the cops' fault there are drug dealers running the streets?

You claim that City Commissioners, particularly the ones that have publicly supported Harris, are drug users.

All of the above is to blame on the citizens of this community. Too many people are "looking the other way" when it comes to illegal activity.

The people want the police to strictly enforce drug activity, but then complain at City Commission Meetings when they are stopped or searched.

This is mostly due to the fact that good drug dealers are intelligent enough to "blend in" with those around them, as to prevent drawing added attention to themselves.

You can't have it both ways. Don't blame others for things that you have allowed to happen in the community for so long.

Take action and take a stand against the drug dealing and illegal activity here in Benton Harbor.

Anonymous said...

yes;it is the cops fault that drugs and drug dealers are running the streets.why do you think that city commissioners yarbrough and crenshaw supported the chief.the cops are looking the other way.the people want the cops to enforce all drugs activity by everyone including city commissioners.if you lived in benton harhor you would know.
when you have bad cops in your pocket you don`t have to be intelligent.it is who you know.you are going to have to educate yourself about benton harbor.because i know you don`t really know, all you are doing is just talking.drug dealers use the police force to keep them in business.
please do me and the blog a favor do your research.because you just don`t get it .we are blaming the city commissioners for what is happing in the city of benton harbor.i will stop responding to your comments until you do your research you are a waste of time.

You don't live in Benton Harbor.

The best retort that Big Sam Sidney Mary Bell can come up with.

Well, I live in BH and think BANCO is a cancer on this town.

Is it the cops fault that weed and cocaine where invented or found? Cops do what they can and what they are allowed to do. Just keep your cops comments to yourself cause like I said you do not know anything about the law.

But I thought Berrien County only went after the innocent (and of course found them guilty) so that must be the reason they aren't going after the drug dealers. Right?

I am trying to see Banco's point of view here, it is just VERY difficult. Ok, let me try again, they go after the innocents because they are drug users. Hmmm... I guess that is possible. But what about the local and national media? I mean that would be an amazing story wouldn't it? An entire city council that are dealing and using drugs? WOW.

When is that on 20/20? Hmmm or is it going to be on Beyond Belief you slimy dog you?
