RACIST JUDGE PAUL MALONEY DENIES MOTION

RACIST JUDGE PAUL MALONEY DENIED A MOTION TO DISQUALIFY HIMSELF AND ALL BERRIEN COUNTY JUDGES.

JUDGE PAUL MALONEY STATED IN OPEN COURT THAT HE DID NOT KNOW HIS NAME WAS ON ANY OF REV. PINKNEY'S SIGNS. REV PINKNEY MARCHED IN FRONT OF THE BERRIEN COUNTY COURTHOUSE FOR OVER FIVE YEARS AND WORE THE FAMED T-SHIRT LABELED "BENTON HARBOR'S MOST WANTED--WANTED FOR CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY." JUDGE PAUL MALONEY'S NAME WAS PLACED ON THE T- SHIRT. (see T-shirt image on right)

I WANT TO TELL THE WORLD THAT JUDGE PAUL MALONEY IS A LIAR, RACIST AND BIASED TOWARD THE RESIDENTS OF BENTON HARBOR.

WAKE UP, WAKE UP, YOU SLEEPY HEADS. THEY GET AWAY WITH WHAT THEY DO ONLY BECAUSE WE FAIL TO CALL THEM ON THEIR LIES AND EVIL. TO OVERCOME THE PROBLEM, WE MUST CONFRONT THE PROBLEM FACE TO FACE. IT IS FAIR TO SAY THEY ARE IN POWER BECAUSE WE ARE NOT YET EMPOWERED.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Judge Maloney's claim that he never knew Rev. Pinkney publicly criticized him is not at all credible. Rev. Pinkney and BANCO's criticism of the Berrien County justice system has been well-publicized. Just one example is this report from WNDU-16 on 6/24/03:

http://www.wndu.com/news/062003/news_20516.php

'Reverend Edward Pinkney, the leader of BANCO, says, "We want the justice department to not only look into the police department but we also want them to look into the Berrien County courthouse because we believe the Berrien County courthouse is the root of the problems."

Racially biased?

Reverend Pinkney says sentencing is racially biased. "One particular group of people, the African Americans, usually gets the maximum amount of time a judge can give them. And usually if you're Caucasian or white you get the least amount that's available to you."

Along with others calling for investigations into local police, BANCO wants a committee to oversee complaints about Berrien County judges.'

Lets be real about this situation. If you look at reality Berrien county has been practicing a policy of Containment for some time. If it happens in Benton Harbor it stays in Benton Harbor. Yes if you have a paid attorney you probably are going to get a better deal but at the same time if you look at the pleas that are accepted it is amazing that anyone goes to jail at all.

To say it is racial is ludicris it is socioeconomic. Stop trying to play the race card when it is economics.

Dear Anonymous,

Of course, you are correct that the problems in Berrien County are socioeconomic. And throughout the history of the United States, race and socioeconomics have nearly always been mutually dependent. In Berrien County, this dynamic is obvious and extreme.

It's not clear to me what your point about containment really is. You seem to be suggesting that containing crime, violence, despair, and poverty in Benton Harbor is a legitimate and fair way to "keep the peace." I doubt Benton Harbor residents would agree.

I dont agree that it is fair and if the activities that go on in the city were occuring near where the judges live then the punishments would fit the crime.

I never said that the containment was legitimate or a way to keep the peace, but by letting subjects who continue to commit violent crime after violent crime out of jail and out of prison only makes Benton Harbor more violent and the good citizens scared to come from thier homes. As tupac said snitches get stitches and this attitude in the city makes the legal system not work and appear to be unjust.

Untill the citizens of Benton Harbor are willing to stand up to the drug dealers and the real criminals the city will never change

Do you go to the court and see sentencing on a daily basis. Cause if you do not then how can say this is a white/black issue. The problem is, is that our justice system does not give any criminal the right amount of time regardless of race. If you have not been an officer or a judge or attorney how can speak about their job. Do you know what a cop or judge has to go thru? There are people in the streets that just do not care about anyone and they will do anything to get what they want. These folks are both white and black and the race issue does not factor into crime.

There are certain people out there that motivate crime and I feel BANCO is one of them because people feed off the anger you portray at white people in general. I think it is time to stop the racial biasis and time to focus bettering the community. I have yet to see BANCO do anything for the youth or yet to see BANCO try and better Benton Harbor all I see is BANCO holding rallies that make the police and justice department look bad all the time.

I do not believe Mr. Maloney is a racist. He does not care what color you are. He is politically minded and you will be pushed aside and stepped on no matter your color. He is selfish and one sided, unfair and unjust and full of coruption. I hope and pray to God that he does not recieve the federal Judgeship he has been nominated to. Berrien county officials are shamefully full of coruption and should be exposed. I am white and Love Rev. Pinkney he is a good a upright man who cares about his community and has worked hard in order to do something about the coruption he has witnessed in the court system and because of this Mr. Maloney and Jim Cherry pull their potitical strings in order to put him away. But I have news for them. GOD IS WATCHING THE CORUPTION IN BERRIEN COUNTY AND HE WILL PULL THE PLUG ON THIS COUNTY IN THE NEAR FUTURE. YOU CAN COUNT ON IT. check out WWW.ARROWOFTHELORD.COM FOR A TASTE OF WHAT THIS COUNTY IS UP TO

Rev. Pinkney got what he deserved because he is a political terrorist. He is also a thief and I hope he stays in jail. To turn this into a race issue is just another example of some of Pinkney spinning the truth.
